Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Become a Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart of RiverWest Village. Join us and strengthen our community.
Become a Volunteer
When neighbors support neighbors, our entire community becomes stronger, more connected, and more resilient. Whether you have an hour a week or a few hours a month, your time makes a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults who want to age safely and confidently in their own homes.

- Home Support: small repairs, tech help, yard work, and household tasks
- Social Connection: friendly visits, phone check-ins, and companionship
- Events & Programs: helping with gatherings, classes, and community activities
-
Administrative Support: office help, communications, and behind-the-scenes tasks

Providing Services: What It Looks Like
Service at RiverWest Village is simple, personal, and neighborly. A typical volunteer experience might include:
- Driving a member to a doctor’s appointment and chatting along the way
- Stopping by to help set up a new phone or troubleshoot a computer issue
- Pulling a few weeds or changing a smoke detector battery
- Sharing a cup of tea and conversation with someone who lives alone
- Helping set up chairs or greet guests at a Village event
Every interaction is an opportunity to brighten someone’s day and strengthen community ties.
